HOW: Use Custom Filtering to Apply Any Filtering Logic to Gathered Data

Places Scout contains several built in filters to help you easily narrow down and filter the data gathered in the Find Local Clients module.

Sometimes the built in filters may not meet all of your filtering requirements - In this case, Places Scout has built in Custom Filtering capabilities that allow you to filter down the data for using any data column(s) and any custom filtering logic.

For example, if you only want to see results whose rank is between 10-20, you can easily do this with custom filtering.

Performing Custom Filtering

  1. In the upper left corner of the grid view, click the grid view options button
  2. Click the 'Enable Custom Filtering' button.
  3. After doing this, small filter icons will appear in the header column of each grid view column.
  4. Click on this icon for whatever column you want to use custom filtering for.
  5. In the box, there are several options that you can use to configure the custom filter. See the screenshot below for an example.

Example Above: For the 'Rank' column, here we can specify a custom filter such as 'Greater Than' and then put in 10. Then it will filter out all the results whose rank is less than 10, leaving you with the ones beyond the first page.
